HONDURAS – Three horizontal stripes of equal size – blue, white, and blue – make up the flag of Honduras, which was adopted in 1866. Floating at the center of the middle white stripe are five blue five point stars (a single star at the middle with two stars, one on top of the other, on either side) representing the five nations of the United States of Central America (Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala).
